Set Your Photos Free:

Fun Ways to Bring Your Phone Snaps to Life!

Hands up if your phone storage is bursting at the seams with 9807+ photos (who's counting, right?). I get it – parenting comes with endless precious moments, and your trusty smartphone becomes the keeper of countless memories. But here's the kicker – those memories often stay trapped in the digital abyss, forgotten and underappreciated. It's high time we breathed life into them. I’m here to help you rescue your treasured family photos and infuse some enchantment into your home. So, fellow parents, let's free your photos from your phone!

Before we can even begin to plan HOW we are going to use these amazing photos you have snapped, we need to liberate them from the phone! My first piece of advice is to put aside bursts of time and either favourite or organise the images into a separate folder on your phone.

Now go and download this app! ⬇️

Smart Savings on Photo Printing

I know everything is expensive at the moment, but printing out your family photos doesn’t have to be! I want you to download the Snapfish app (available from the App Store and Google Play). This app generously offers up to 50 free standard 10x15cm (4x6") prints every month for an entire year. All you need to do is pay for postage. That's a grand total of 600 free prints – a dream come true for any photo-loving parent liberating their photos! With the Snapfish app, you can conveniently order prints and (even create personalised mugs, canvas prints, home décor, and more right from your phone).

Now let the fun begin!

Craft Your Family Gallery

It's time to transform a blank wall into a gallery wall. With just a roll of poster or washi tape and a ruler (optional, but oh-so-handy), you can unleash your inner artist. Arrange your prints in a grid – the more, the merrier! Feel free to experiment with angles and spacing for a whimsical touch. You can choose to frame them individually, leave them unframed, pop them in one large frame, make a shape, whatever your heart desires!

Upcycle with Flair

Why not upcycle a screen divider or a wire mesh memo board? A touch of spray paint can work wonders, and a hint of gold can add a touch of elegance. Use clips or clothespins to fasten your photos and create a dynamic, ever-changing gallery that brings your space to life. If you don’t have anything like this hanging around, there is a Bunnings DIY clip if you are feeling so inclined to make your own (and you can customise it for the size of your space).

Memory Weaving

Looking for a crafty adventure suitable for all ages? This is something I have been fascinated with, but have yet to do! Photo weaving. It's like crafting with a unique twist – instead of wool or yarn, you weave together multiple photos to create dynamic and surreal masterpieces. Find inspiration by exploring examples on Pinterest. I’ve created a folder with a variety of examples.

Digital Photo Frames

Maybe a digital photo frame is something you might want to consider. This way you don’t need to print any of the photos, you can just store them on Google Drive, for example, and have a continuous gallery of images transitioning. They're a savvy way to showcase your photos without overwhelming your space. They come in various sizes and you can find them in a heap of different stores.
